It was my first concert in Dortmund and I was invited to its afterparty in Essen. Candy Dulfer was there as a guest, probably promoting herself already at the time. Boudewijn Büch stood on the edge of the dance floor with a plastic bag, waiting. Eventually, I read in the Revue magazine that he never approached Prince. He didn’t dare to, probably because of his overwhelming charisma and strong aura.
Prince walked up to me, shook my hand, and asked if I enjoyed his concert. I said, “Yes!” At that time, I was very young (21 years old) and thought he might be a fake Prince. I was there with my husband and friends. My husband said, “Hey Prince, this is my wife,” and Prince quickly left. Such a shame!
It was a concert I will never forget. It was pure celebration, euphoria.
Thanks 4 this website.
