Introduction
Because of the upcoming The Revolution show in Paradiso, Amsterdam, I recently re-shared my 2.5 year old article on the best show I ever witnessed to a select number of Facebook groups. It was nice to see it once again led to a lot of traffic to my blog and many reactions. One of those was from Arne van der Zande. He posted a photograph of the first Prince & The Revolution show at the Ahoy in Rotterdam (on August 17th, 1986, one day prior to ‘my’ show).
Photographs
I hadn’t seen the photograph before. Arne told me he had more of them. I had never seen any of those either. When he asked if someone would be interested to do something with them, I proposed publishing them. Arne was enthused and granted me the right to publish his photographs.
For all the people in The Netherlands who couldn’t get a ticket for tonight’s The Revolution show at the Paradiso in Amsterdam and all other Prince aficionados, I present to you a number of previously unpublished photographs (as far as i can tell, anyway) of Prince & The Revolution live at the Ahoy in Rotterdam on August 17th, 1986.
Click on the photographs to see a larger and complete image.

Thanks for your reply. The photo’s have been published, but were never really given attention to. I was kindly permitted to use them here as a means to get them out there. More than glad to share them!
