American guitarist, singer and composer, primarily known as co-founder of Kiss. Frehley represented the rock element in Kiss and was the most proficient musician in the band. His sound, titled “monster plod” (a lazy, behind-the-beat kind of playing), was an important part of the Kiss sound and inspired countless musicians to start playing the guitar. After leaving Kiss he developed a successful solo career (with and without his own band)
