Paradiso newsletter
In the Paradiso newsletter sent on January 11, 2024, attention was geared towards Paradiso’s facade art pieces by artist Ahmad Mallah.
Since Friday January 5, work of the multidisciplinary artist Ahmad Mallah is portrayed on our facade. The Palestinian Ahmad fled Syria over ten years ago and lives in The Netherlands since 2014. Ahmad about his work: “My art is an exploration of the body, war, diaspora, identity, gender and belonging. Through my interdisciplinary art practice, I represent my personal experiences as being stateless for a long time. I do not belong to a specific place and time; for me belonging is a dilemma of our existence, a state of emotional and intellectual flux between our human desires for safety and freedom.”
Ahmad sells all portraits from this series and donates 50% of its proceeds to the PCRF, The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. Go to his website to purchase your very own portrait. Ahmads work will be shown on the facade at the front of our building until Friday January 26 .

Also a great opportuniy to give attention to another initiative that was organized at Amsterdam’s Paradiso and the Melkweg on November 25, 2023. The Save The Children benefit for the children’s casualties of the violence of the Gaza war. The poster (see above) that was designed for that event can be bought at the Paradiso webshop.
