Claw Boys Claw on their farewell tour… What a loss for the Dutch stages.
Even though singer Te Bos (now almost 75 years old) is no longer the roarer he once was, the band can still be utterly impressive at times. The energy in the gritty rock songs is still palpable. It’s nostalgia, certainly, but delivered at a level that makes you wonder why they’re stopping at all.
But you can wholeheartedly grant the band a farewell like this. A nice encore, with original bassist Bobbie Rossini also making an appearance. And then, back on stage one more time: a farewell with The Stooges’ I Wanna Be Your Dog. Everything comes to an end.
