Day 3 started with a surprise: Nathaniel Rateliff And The Night Sweats. Slow, ‘swampy’ rhythm & blues from the deep South of the United States. Nothing innovative, but it was great nonetheless.
Moses Sumney is an English soul singer, who makes lovely little songs. It worked like a charm. A beautiful concert in which new ways were explored. Bold and successful. Highly recommended!
Meshell Ndegeocello does a great show qwith some very original covers (among which a stunning Waterfalls by TLC).
This edition of North Sea Jazz is closed by Sevdaliza. An Iranian artist/singer living in The Netherlands. An absolute treat, completely unique and impressive!
