Day 3 of the greatest festival I know.
After a short time with Jimetta Rose & The Voices Of Creation (nice for 1 or 2 songs) and Knower (nice!) I tagged along for the second hadl of Karsu. The audience wnet crazy, but for what is foreign to me. When she decided to ruin songs from my favorite Turkish artist, Sezen Aksu, I left.
After brief stints at several shows that were all nice, Zühâl and I ended up at Sampha. This was a definite highlight. We were both moved to tears by the playing, the vocals, the presentation, the fun and the enitirely unique sound waves. Impressive show!
Once more stopped by at several shows, all presenting a delightful taste, we ended up with Enji. The Mongolian singer created an atmospehere that was both intimate and moving. A beautiful concert.
From a distance I got to witness some of the Sting show, who played a lot of Police material with his three-piece band. North Sea Jazz Festival 2024 was a great edition. Hopefully we will be there in 2025.
