Oğuzhan and Prince

Oğuzhan and Prince (apoplife.nl)

Prince in Turkey

During our holiday in Turkey we again met a lot of people. One of them was Oğuzhan, who works at the (superb) hotel Louis Rooms in İstanbul. This article is for him and serves as his introduction to Prince.

Oğuzhan told me he loves rock music and didn’t know who Prince was. After the first introduction (Motherless Child) he wanted to hear more. The choices will be based on Prince’s guitar side, as Oğuzhan plays guitar as well.

The 15 best guitar solos

The article Prince – The 15 best guitar solos! explicitly state the best guitar solos (that were known at the time). Blog-reader Wilco has made a YouTube playlist: click here.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Read and see the story about the famous Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarsolo in the article Prince at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame: the guitar solo.

Motherless Child

The first guitar based music presented to Oğuzhan, but it doesn’t hurt to recommend it once more: Prince – Motherless Child.

Extra list

Playlist

I think this represents a good introduction to Prince and his more rock/guitar side. Additions are more than welcome!

Hi Erwin! It’s Oğuzhan from Louis Rooms! Thanks for this great playlist and the article. I listened to all the songs you added to the list. I wish I was this age in the 80s instead of today. As you know, my favorite genres are Metal and Rock. That’s why the songs “Temptation” and “Chaos and Disorder” caught my attention. “The Ride” has great guitar solos; it sounds like talking 🙂 The song “Dreamer” is nice as well. Lastly, the guitar melody in I’m Yours’ intro is very simple but interestingly very sweet. Thank you so much once again for this best playlist!

    1. Hi Oğuzhan,
So nice to hear from you. Great to know you like the compilation. I will try updating it now and again. Let me know if I can do something else for you.
On the blog there are some stories on metal and rock albums, maybe you’ll like them as well.
      Thanks for you reply!
      Rock on, Erwin.

Compliments/remarks? Yes, please!
